Hainan Island is the second largest island of China.It's in the southest of China. The pupolation in Hainan is 7 million. I came to Hainan from Guangdong when I was two years old.It has been 14 years. I regard Hainan as my hometown. I love it very much. Now I live in Haikou.

Haikou is the capital of Hainan Province,it's in the northest of the island.It's the largest city on the island Haikou is a pretty city with an interesting flower market. There are many coconut trees in Haikou along the streets or roads. So Haikou is called "Coconut City". There are no coconut trees in China but in Hainan.So coconuts are the pride of Hainan.Coconut is a kind of  fruit, it can used to make copra, coconut oil,and shredoled coconut stuffing. It's very delecious.

Hainan is the largest special economic zone and the youngest province in China. Since the Special Economic Zone was established ten years ago, it has developed rapidly.The comfortable residential quarters, highways,busy ports airports show the success of the economic zone. Hainan, as a famous "natural green house", enjoys a lot of advantages. For example, its tropical Litchi can be harvested one month earlier than those in Guangdong Province. Now many businessmen from Taiwan come here and invest for tropical fruit. Now the tropical fruit from Hainan are sold all over our country. So I think Hainan Special Economic Zone has a bright future.

Hainan is also a place with beautiful sencenry and it has quickly become a favourite holiday place. Its air is the best in China and it attracts a lot of tourists every year.There are many interesting places in Hainan. For example, Wanquan River, Dongshan Ridge, Hot Springs, Hairui Tomb, Mount Wuzhi and Tianyahaijiao. Especially Tianyahaijiao, it's in the southest in Hainan Island, that means "the edge of the sky and the rim of the sea". In the south of the island, you can have many water sports like scuba diving, fishing, swimming and surfing.If relaxing is in your plan, there're long white beaches to walk along.
